Nerd Nite State College was thrilled to launch Nerd Nite #1 on February 13, 2019!  Our first lineup included music by Semih Eser, geography trivia by Purple Lizard Maps, music trivia by Radio’s Don Bedell, beer sold by Otto’s Pub & Brewery, and of course, three wonderful speakers:

• Pussyhat Riot: A Brief History of Craftivism by Dr. Stephanie Madden
• Waveguides, Quantum Weirdness, Climate Change & Extreme Weather by Dr. Michael Mann
• From Harem Fantasy to I Dream of Jeannie: Deconstructing the Myths & Wishtory of Belly Dance by Shannon Bishop, owner of Black Cat Belly Dance
